Dark Flames

We made this little game for the 1 Bit Jam 2023.

Darkness has conquered every place, devouring things, people, and memories. The town of Ember is the last outpost that resists the advance of the shadows. You are the ruler of the town, or at least of what's left.

Day after day, the places outside your kingdom's walls disappear, becoming thick darkness. There is no more time: if you don't act quickly, everything will be lost. To stop the darkness, you must ignite the Primordial Flame, an ancient power that once sustained the heat and light of the world itself.

But the Primordial Flame is now extinguished, and its Cinders are found in the Forest of Sorrow, a place from which no one has ever returned.
